Obedience

OBEDIENCE

What does it mean to be obedient?

To be obedient it means that you are complying or willing to comply with orders or requests; submissive to another’s will.

PRAYER

Dear Heavenly Father, my prayer is that on today you use me as an empty vessel. I pray that you come through the words on this screen and touch someone so that they can make their ears available to hear what it is that you have to say. So that they will become obedient in your word and understand that you are preparing them for YOU! Dear Lord, please be with those that are confused as to what it is that they need to be doing in life. Lord, please bring clarity to those that are not sure which way to move in your light. Please bring peace to the person that needs to leave their job to do your will. Bring understanding to those that are confused about how to walk in your word. Dear Lord, I am asking that you show up and show out in the lives of your children who want to be and will be obedient in your word.

In Lord Jesus Name, Amen.

SCRIPTURES

God “will give to each person according to what he has done.” To those who by pwersistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life. But for those who are self seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger.

Romans 2:6-8

In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps.

Proverbs 16:9

We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Romans 8:28

MY PAST

I remember growing up and being told to do something and I wouldn’t do it. I remember a few days ago being told to do something and I didn’t do it. I was/am that person that if you TELL me to do something, I am going to look at you half crazy like, “Don’t tell me what to do.” I don’t know what it is about being TOLD to do something. And the majority of the time that I am being TOLD what to do …. it is for my own good! Now isn’t that silly, to be led in the right direction and stop in my tracks hindering my own growth because I don’t like being told what to do?! So many times we are told to do the right thing, but because we are TOLD to do it, we don’t! Thank the Lord that in my youth that even when I was being stubborn or doing the things that I wanted to do in my own way, I did not cause in immediate or major harm to myself. By the Grace of God, He covered me!

MY PRESENT

What I have had to reflect on and learn is that it’s not ok to be disobedient. I still don’t like being TOLD what to do, but what I have had to learn is to redirect that thought process of me being TOLD what to do, to me being encouraged or empowered to do something that will better myself. I have had to realize the tone of being obedient and what that sounds like. The tone of obedience is that of being submissive and humbled. Understanding that what I am being TOLD to do is for my own good. It is for my growth. It is for my understanding. It is for my purpose. It is for my health. It is for the overall enhancement of my life and those around me in which I directly influence.

MY FUTURE

I have realized that being obedient isn’t always about you. Sometimes we have to be obedient so that the result of our own actions can bless someone else. We are here to serve Gods people and to do it with love. So if we can not love ourselves enough to be obedient to what God has called us to do, then how can we serve other people. There are people that are assigned to us in life. And if we are not walking in obedience to the Lord, then we may be blocking someone else’s blessing. When God tells you to do something then do it! You never know what brick he just laid to carry you down your Purpose Path ™!

Testimony

I had the most Super Natural event occur during the month of June. While taking a bath after being released from the hospital the Holy Spirit took control over my body. I was still in a lot of pain because I was not properly treated by the hospital, so to take deep breaths hurt tremendously. However, God told me to take deep breaths. Man did the first 3 to 4 breaths hurt. But, by the time I got to breath 7,8, 9 & 10 … I was able to breath in and out effortlessly. I tried to open my eyes and God said, “Don’t”. I tried to lift my finger and God said, “Don’t. I have total control over your body. Relax and Listen.” So after the second time of me TESTING Him, I finally became obedient to what He was doing and saying. He told me that I needed to go on a missions trip the next day with my church. There would be a girl about 5/6 years old. Blonde hair and colored eyes. He told me to tell her that the abuse is going to end. That He has been with her this whole time and that He loves her so much! He said for me to ask her what it is that she wants to be in life. He said she may give you 2 to 3 things, but the first one is what she will be (He gave me the sense of a doctor). He said tell her to contact you in the next 10 years and I will give you a key piece to her success. He told me, I will give you the strength to go on the trip. But afterwards you need to come back home and relax.

The next day my oldest two kids, PJ, Jadyn and I went on the missions trip. I felt like I wanted to stay in the bed. But God told me to go and deliver a message. I even thought about telling someone on the team to deliver the message for me. However, had I done that …. Gods message never would have been delivered. We set up for the missions trip and about half way into the mission I was feeling discouraged because I could not find a blonde hair colored eyed child that was between 5/6. I questioned God and asked Him if He sent me on this trip just to see if I would be obedient because I did not see the little girl He was speaking of. He did not answer, leaving me to shut my thoughts off and be patient.

So I went to grab a snack and sat at a table with some of the youth from the children’s home we were visiting and some other missions team members. While sitting there the girls were sharing their stories. Then this one girl who came with the church started talking. She was a teenager as well and begun to share her story. As she started talking I looked at her and immediately felt some kind of connection to her. I stared at her and I questioned God. I said Lord, “Is this HER??? She’s not 5/6.” But she did have Blonde hair and Green eyes. As she kept talking telling a round about, about her life … God told me to ask her what she wants to be in life. So I asked her and she said psychologist. I couldn’t believe it. I looked at her and said, “I was sent here for YOU today … I need to speak with you before we leave.” So we all kept talking and God said, “Now”. So I told her the message that God wanted me to deliver to her and as I was telling her I had goose bumps on my arms and the girls at the table got chills and the young lady started to get teary eyed. She later introduced me to her father as her Angel and her father told her that he had not shared any of her past with anyone at the church.

I had no idea why???? All I know is that God told me to. I OBEYED, even when: in my mind I wanted to stay in bed and fully recover from the hospital; my friends thought I was crazy for getting out of the house to do a missions trip; I didn’t understand. But when God tells you to do something, you have to do it. Had I not gone on that trip this young lady may or may not have gotten the confirmation she needed from the Lord. Since that trip she has been at church every weekend with her father sitting in the front sections. She has even brought her friends to church. God is now able to fully pour his all in to her because she is open and available to receive all of his LOVE!

b.Marcell QUESTION SESSION

What is God asking you to do that you have yet to complete?

IAm…bMe Action Item

Your goal for this week. Is to write down everything that you believe God has asked you to do. After writing it down. Ask God for clarity on those items. Ask Him what does He want you to do with each of the things you have written. Finally ask Him to guide you in completing these items.

Inspirational/Motivational Quotes:

God has big plans for you. He has transformed your heart into a temple for his Holy Spirit. IN this day and age it takes courage to be a godly woman. There will be people who oppose God’s work in your life. There will be naysayers who may try to convince you that the cost of serving God is too high or that the time and attention you pay to his Word is too great. There will be those who say you can cut corners and disregard God’s blueprint for your life.

Don’t believe it. The same God who helped David fight giants is the same God who enabled Solomon to build the most magnificent temple known to man. That God is your God and he inhabits your heart. God was faithful to stay with Solomon and complete the work of the temple. He will be faithful to complete the good work he began in you, too.
