He Will Establish Your Plans

Commit to the Lord Whatever You Do & He Will Establish Your Plans

- Proverbs 16:3

I am laughing because I purchased this sign to decorate my office when I first started working as the Director of Business Development and Marketing Communications for Lighthouse Christian School in Madison, WI. I thought that this sign was pretty cool especially because I have a million plans that are in my head and I absolutely love planning. I have been planning since I was a kid. When I played house growing up, I would leave my "husband" and "kids" at home for the day while I went to "work" helping my clients "plan" their business and "plan" their life. It is funny how life comes full circle and God has had me on a journey of self discovery by guiding me through the process of understanding who and whose I am.

This sign has journeyed with me from office to office and now it's newest home is above my "planning desk" by my bedside where I do all of my family planning and spend the most time with God.

I would take my 3 planners (yes I had three planners for the 2018 year to plan out multiple things that I need to do. Each planner had different features that I liked but one planner didn't work for all of hourly, daily, weekly, monthly and annual responsibilities. Earlier this year God told me to begin working on a special project that would help organize my time, ultimately making sure that HE GOT HIS TIME!

I am always working ... whether that is the development director work that I do for Lighthouse, working on one of the many platforms God has given me or working on behalf of my family and my home. It is extremely important that I do all that is in God's will for my life on a daily basis. I have learned that my blessings are tied to my obedience and that I can't reach the next level without successfully passing my current season. With that comes planning and submitting my plans to God for approval.

LET'S SIT WITH YAHWEH TO LEARN ....

The Book of Proverbs, written by King Solomon (some proverbs written by other writers)

This book is not a book of tips and tricks for living life, yet it is a book with universal principles that were relevant centuries ago, are relevant today and will be relevant during future times.

The purpose and theme of Proverbs is found in the first couple of verses (1:1-7)

"The Beginning of Knowledge"

The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel:

To know wisdom and instruction,

to perceive the words of understanding,

To receive the instruction of wisdom,

Justice, judgment, and equity;

To give prudence to the simple,

To the young man knowledge and discretion --

A wise man will hear and increase learning,

And a man of understanding will attain wise counsel,

To understand a proverb and an enigma,

The words of the wise and their riddles.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge,

But fools despise wisdom and instruction.

NOW LET'S BREAK DOWN OUR VERSE

Proverbs 16:3

Commit to the Lord whatever you do and He will establish your plans.

My Bible breaks this verse down as such:

The verb commit ... to is from a word meaning "to roll". The idea is to "roll your cares onto the Lord." Trusting the Lordc with our decisions frees us from preoccupation with our problems (see 3:5-6)

Proverbs 3:5,6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,

And lean not on your own understanding;

In all your ways acknowledge Him

And He shall direct your paths.

My Bible breaks this verse down as such:

The words trust in the Lord echo the command of Deut. 6:5 to love God with all our being. The verb trust is complemented by the verb "lean". Trusting in God is a conscious dependence on God, much like leaning on a tree for support. The idea is reinforced here by the command to acknowledge Him, which means to observe Him and get to know Him in the process of living. In doing so, a person finds time and time again that God smoothes out paths.

Deuteronomy 6:5

You shall love the Lord Your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.

My Bible breaks this verse down as such:

Moses repeatedly exhorted the Israelites to respond to God's love with devotion, In this context, the word translated as love may mean "to make one's choice in." God commanded His people to choose Him with all their being, and in the process to deny all other supposed deities.

Sharing God's Word with Others - www.brunchandBible.com

Today brunch & Bible Madison hosted a Bible Beauty Bunch Share Session for 6 of God's Beauties. We do small groups at the table because it was becoming a huge thing in St. Louis and it was loosing the intimacy that God intended for us to have in order to be accountability partners for one another. During today's b&B the Holy Spirit led us in a conversation about our priorities and to answer the question: What has God asked you to do that you have yet to do? We were supposed to reflect on this in preparation for discussion for today's session.

Over the last couple of weeks old things that God told me to do that I had not done and/or completed kept resurfacing via visions, via conversations with others and via old planners. It wasn't a coincidence that these things kept happening. Once I began to own these past areas of disobedience, God began to show me how although that season has passed ... it is still very relevant to my purpose. After spending much needed time with God in deep prayer and reflection I wrote out a plan, dedicated it back to Him and then He established these plans by causing people that will assist me with these plans to "randomly" appear in my life, by opening doors that I thought were closed because I was disobedient during a season and other ways as well.

We were birthed a finished product. The moment our parents met was the beginning of the process for our purpose (really long before that, but that is a whole other b.Log to write). God has already prepared you for this season. He has already given you the blessing. The blessing is the vision, the resource, the tool ... now activate that vision, that resource, that tool and get to work. You didn't just have that "big idea" to do that "one big thing". God gave you that idea when He began creating you before the sperm connected your mother's egg. The blessing is that God allowed you to have a revelation that allowed you to be a vessel to give birth to that plan. Now it is your turn to write that plan down and dedicate it to the Lord.

I explained today during brunch and Bible that we dedicate newborn babies and children to the Lord so why not our plans. It is the same concept. God gave us the seed (fetus/vision). We give birth to the seed (newborn/plan). We dedicate that seed back to God (baby/purpose project) so that He will cover that seed (child/purpose project) and see it come into fruition (the child will grow up loving God, others and themselves / we were born for such a time as this to bring the Kingdom to earth).

Super simple. It is Sunday, so as you go on to plan out your week. Follow these steps.

1. Write the plan down

2. Present the plan to God

3. Allow Him to maneuver your time to coincide with His will for your life this week!

Don't over think it. All you need is a pen and paper and if your digital your calendar on your phone.

If you need assistance with this ... please e-mail me at iambmarcell@bmarcell.com and I will be oh so happy to help you with this!

Many Blessings to you all!
